You can contact me via email or phone. After initial contact, we will schedule an intake appointment. During this appointment we will discuss your presenting concerns and goals for counseling, gather background information, and get to know each other in order to determine whether I am a good fit to assist you on your counseling journey. 

We will meet weekly for 53 minutes via a 100% private, HIPAA-compliant video platform. The frequency of counseling sessions might decrease to bi-weekly or even once a month as you meet your desired goals and enter the "maintenance" phase of counseling. The length of treatment varies from person to person, however, the success of counseling depends on your engagement during sessions and implementing learned skills between sessions.

The fee for a 53-minute session is $120.

The fee for a 53-minute initial assessment, couples, and family session is $140. 

 I do collect fees at the beginning of each session. I do not carry a balance for clients. 

TEXAS clients: Courageous Footsteps Counseling accepts Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Oscar Health, Oxford, and United Healthcare plans through Headway - 3rd party mental health billing company that manages all insurance related billing and administrative work to make things as easy as possible for you. The Headway team will reach out via email to help you set up your account and add your insurance and payment details. You’ll see your cost per session ahead of time and can check your benefits any time in your Headway account. You can reach the Headway team directly through their contact form. They can help with any insurance, billing, or account questions. 

WASHINGTON clients: Courageous Footsteps Counseling accepts Aetna, Cigna, Optum, and United Healthcare plans through Alma - 3rd party mental health billing company that manages all insurance related billing and administrative work to make things as easy as possible for you. 

Courageous Footsteps Counseling also provides self-pay or out of network services.  We can provide a Superbill for possible insurance reimbursement if requested. 

We accept payment via credit or debit card, check and HSA card at the beginning of every session. 

I ask that you provide 48 hours' notice of cancellation by phone or email. Late cancelations or no shows will be charged a full service fee. 

We are living in some extraordinary and uncertain times. Due to these unprecedented times, all counseling sessions are conducted via Telehealth at this time.

Under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act, health care providers and health care facilities are required to inform individuals who are not enrolled in a plan or coverage or a Federal health care program, or not seeking to file a claim with their plan or coverage both orally and in writing of their ability, upon request or at the time of scheduling health care items and services, to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” of expected charges.

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.

Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
