Meet Andrea - Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Do you remember a time when feeling overwhelmed, anxious or hurting wasn't the “norm” ? Do those days feel like a distant memory? Do you wish you had the tools to change that?
You’ve come to the right place.
Welcome!!!
My name is Andrea, and I help adults just like you: ones that are tired of living like this and are motivated to change, but just need some guidance and support to get there.
I love helping my clients gain new perspectives and heal their pain by equipping them with the tools they need to better understand the root causes of their anxiety and trauma, so they can gain confidence to navigate through life.
Life is hard. Throughout your lifetime, you start and end relationships, you might become a parent, go to college and change jobs in the hopes of finding a career that fulfills you, and experience unexpected illnesses, losses or heartaches. Those experiences might leave you feeling drained, overwhelmed, or scared. Many of these life transitions can also open up old wounds caused by negative or scary experiences. However, the idea of embarking on a counseling journey might leave you feeling scared and vulnerable.
You deserve better.
Counseling is a process. Together, we will explore your past experiences and family of origin patterns that are causing you to feel anxious, triggered or stuck. With your collaboration, we will identify your goals for therapy and start filling your toolbox with practical skills and solutions to help you start bouncing back from life faster and more confident. Through our work together, you’ll be able to use your strengths and resilience to live your best life.
My training in cognitive-behavioral and solution-focused therapy means I have the expertise you need and deserve. But at the end of the day, you want to know you’re working with someone who “gets” what it means to be struggling with anxiety and trauma, right?
I get it because I’ve lived it myself. As a first generation immigrant and a spouse of former US Marine, I also grappled with anxiety and pain when navigating life’s challenges but with some support and guidance I was able to overcome it. I know firsthand that sometimes life becomes so overwhelming and heavy that you just want to give up. So when we work together, you won’t just get a trained therapist, you'll get someone who truly understands what you’re going through.
